Steel, provided by the steel industry, is used for manufacturing steel belts and bead cores in tires. The rubber is mixed with oils, pigments, antioxidants, silica, and other additives to achieve desired characteristics. Different compounds are used for different parts of the tire.

Manufacturing Process
