Miami Porsche® Driver Shoots Man Over Parking Spot

It was a warm Miami night in April, but the heat wasn’t just from the weather. In the trendy Wynwood neighborhood, a simple parking maneuver spiraled into gunfire, leaving one man injured and another facing serious prison time.

According to police, 29-year-old Anthony Russian couldn’t contain his impatience as another driver tried to back into a tight spot outside an Airbnb^®. What should have been a routine return from a night out ended with a gunshot and a trip to the trauma center.

An Argument Over a Tight Spot

It all started around 11 p.m. on April 11. The victim, accompanied by his cousin and cousin’s wife, returned to their Airbnb on NW 33rd Street after spending time in Wynwood. As he attempted to park his gray Toyota^® Tacoma in a cramped lot, a white Porsche^® Macan pulled up behind him.

Instead of patiently waiting, the driver of the Porsche - later identified as Russian - began honking aggressively, according to the New York Post.

When the victim approached the Porsche and asked why he was honking, Russian allegedly replied that the man was “taking too long,” according to the police report. Russian then pulled out a firearm and aimed it at the victim’s torso, as reported by PEOPLE.

In a bizarre twist, the gun malfunctioned twice. But as the victim turned to walk away, Russian allegedly fired a shot that struck him in the right foot.

Chaos and a Quick Escape

Bleeding but still mobile, the victim transported himself to Ryder Trauma Center for treatment, likely still in disbelief that a parking dispute had escalated into violence.

Meanwhile, the shooter remained at large. But Miami authorities moved quickly.

Arrest and No Bond for the Porsche Driver

Nearly a month later, on May 7, Russian was arrested on Fifth Street and Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. The victim positively identified him in a photo lineup, sealing the case for investigators.

Russian has been charged with second-degree attempted murder and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. A Miami-Dade judge has ordered him held without bond.

A Pricey Car, a Costly Decision

This case is a reminder that tempers - and triggers - do not mix. What started as a moment of frustration turned into a life-altering decision that could cost Russian decades of freedom.
